Tried to search the forums but didn't really find anything 100% on this issue and wondering if any of you had experienced the below issue and came to a resolution?

Recently switched to Ubuntu close to a month ago and have been enjoying it greatly, all the applications I need are installed, system has been optimized and have a virtual box of XP installed for my Zune. Good stuff I have to say!

I've been playing World Of Warcraft flawlessly during this time and still do without any issues except when I want to switch to another workspace. I can switch to another workspace without issue, but if I try to switch back to the first workspace that has World Of Warcraft running the screen begins to glitch/bounce back and forth between the game and desktop like its alt tabbing with a whitish screen, wow and part of my desktop. While its doing this if I try to open a terminal I am unable to type anything as it seems to register between all three screens so commands aren't fully keyed out. I do this to try and kill Wow and restart it to log back in. Any idea how I can prevent this screen flickering/switching? Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Same problem here.

Strange thing is that it worked perfectly before, but recently i reinstallad ubuntu and since I did that it began to do this.

Tho everything should be same version as before, except for nvidia drivers... but i already tried switching back to old drivers.. doesn't change anything....

any ideas?

Try turning your desktop effects off. In the worst case - run WoW in a virtual desktop/windowed mode.

Running WoW maximized in windowed mode (from the WoW display settings) makes workspace switching easy and flicker free.
