I usually call the dell order status phone once every day, and its automated to tell me that im in the boxing stage. Today, (this morning in EST) when I called, it tried directing me to an agent instead of giving me my order status. Anyone know why this may be? (or have had this happen to them before)?

Did you by chance ask the agent for updates regarding the shipment of your mini?

As far as changes to their automated phone service, in my opinion automated services never stay the same, always having constant changes as companies are always adding/removing steps in said service to supposedly better your experience. Whether that is the actual case, one can argue. =]

haha, not yet. i'm at work. Im just seeing if anyone else has had this problem before actually letting it go to an agent.

now i called again, and it gives me the right information... weeeeeeeeeird
