As you probably know if you've got a tablet, only the stylus works by default in intrepid.

I know the workarounds, and I've read the community docs here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wacom.fdi) and here (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wacom), but what I'd like to know is what are the plans for future support? Is there any work being done, or plans even, to enable a fully working tablet, with eraser, pad etc, and the ability to be hotplugged?

Where could I look for such info?

I wish it would happen soon... I don't ever unplug my tablet, but I hate having to reconfigure it every six months. :(
