I am trying to edit files from an Everio HD camcorder on Intrepid with Kino. I change the name from .mod to .mpg and then Kino is willing to import them. The videos are shot in 16:9.
What results in Kino is a 16:9 image, but the 16:9 that I shot has been squished to 4:3, and then black bars added on the side so that the result is again 16:9. I have kino set on 16:9 for aspect ratio.
Should I be transcoding these myself, before I send them into Kino, perhaps?
