Now I am an user of Mini9 with XP version. But I wanna install ubuntu on it. It's just my aid to buy mini9.

I downloaded one IMG file from dell mini9 support page. I burned it to one DVD with Nero but it seemed not be bootable.

HOW to use it? or could I use the INSTALL CD from ubuntu site?

I worried about the problems of hardware drivers if not to be installed from dell CD. After all, I am not familar with ubuntu and linux.

Thank you.

I am currently downloading the ISO image from Dell(10% complete). I will update this posting after I get it working.

Ok this is what I did:
1. I downloaded the .img file from the dell web site
2. I plugged in a 2GB USB drive into my linux machine
3. I downloaded ImageWriter (http://ppa.launchpad.net/ogra/ubuntu/pool/main/u/usb-imagewriter/usb-imagewriter_0.1-1~ppa1_all.deb)
4. I ran Imagewriter to create a bootable USB drive
5. I booted the Mini9 from the USB key and it installed the dell image
