Yes, I'm leaving it. But don't get me wrong - I'm not leaving Linux. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to Windows, even in virtualization.

I'm leaving Ubuntu because of all the problems that are popping up. The Net Manager will sometimes close my connection, ALSA will make my sound really choppy and slow, forcing me to restart; and other problems. So, I'm going to make the switch to either OpenSUSE or Mandriva. I'm writing the OpenSUSE image to a disc as I write this, and I'm going to write the Mandriva one afterwards. I have both of them in KDE4 - I want to try something a little different from Gnome. Well, thanks for all the help you've given me over the past 6 months, and I hope I'll be back soon. :KS

Bye and goodluck. :)
Give Fedora a try though.

It's only natural to move on to more adequate environments for you and your hardware.

Don't leave the forum, though. The community here will keep rocking even if Canonical goes bankrupt. ;-)

Yeah, I wasn't planning on leaving the forums. I'll still come back here for Linux-related help.

Also, I was thinking about giving Fedora a try, too.

Also, OpenSUSE didn't detect my card right. It was kind of funny, having a bunch of colored lines fly across my screen. I would have fixed it if I could see everything. Mandriva detected everything perfectly.

Again, thanks for all the help everyone has given me these past six months. It's really given me more trust in the community, and also it's opened up my eyes to OS versatility.
