Hello

I'm currently running Ubuntu 8.10, and i'm still new to linux altogether. I'm trying to run the latest version of Trackmania Nations Forever using the latest version of Wine.

When i try to go online, i can join servers as per usual, but the graphics are really really laggy and after a while it stuffs up and freezes. Also when i switch from the [windowed] game to say, Pidgin, the game stuffs up and freezes. I've tried setting the graphics to 'low' using the TMN settings, and have tried running a virtual desktop using Wine, which was proven useless

i have an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950

Compatibility mode is Windows 2000, win 2000 was more stable than xp, but still is pretty bad

sorry, don't know how to run apps using terminal

[edit] fixed - just had to run it using play on linux

stability is often related to video drivers, I have heard that some people have issues with the Intel integrated cards. You might look into seeing if you have the latest version.
