Socks5 proxy

Hi,
I need some advice on what socks 5 proxy software to use with Ubuntu. I found tsocks in the repository but it appears to be fairly dated. Any suggestions?

I have the same question. I tried Dante with Skype for a socks5 proxy but it just doesn't do anything. What is a mainstream socks5 proxy for use with Ubuntu?
