Hello,
I am currently using mythbuntu 8.04 just fine.
I've just downloaded mythbuntu 8.10 cdrom.
Do you know if it is possible to upgrade mythbuntu from cdrom ?
It is possbile to do so with ubuntu (gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade") but this upgrade script doesn't exist in mythbuntu distro.
Do I have to make a fresh install ?
Thank you for any advice.

http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading suggests that this has to be done with the Alternate CD. Is that what you're using? I suppose it is possible that the Mythbuntu specific Alternate CD is missing that (if so, consider filing a bug report).

Any clue someone ?
Synaptic detected the cdrom was contains some packages when I inserted ii in.
But there were only a few packages upgradable in the cdrom repo.
Thanks.

1.Download the Alternate version of mythbuntu:-
http://mythbuntu.org/download/?file=mythbuntu-8.10-alternate-i386.iso
2. Then read the following instructions:-

you're right. I've used the Desktop CD.
I am currently downloading the alternate CD thanks to your recommendation.
I will post follow-up if it works.
