Hello,
I recently installed ubuntu 8.04 on my laptop and setup wifi with madwifi drivers and everything was great. Today I was messing around doing a little file cleanup and somehow removed my madwifi drivers. I wasnt too worried about it since I have the script to download and setup the files but when I went to retrieve them I found the madwifi website is not working!! If someone knows where I can download the madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6 tarball please let me know. Before anyone suggests trying ndiswrapper or compat-wireless drivers thanks for the thought but have tried them all and madwifi was the only setup that will work with my laptop and x64 ubuntu.

Please Help Me!!

[UPDATED]: The first link I gave was the wrong url (sorry). This should work now: Check out the post by reasoner in this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=902860.

At the very bottom of the post are insx on how to connect to svn.madwifi.org when the site is down (basically, you manually specify the site & ip in /etc/hosts).

for anybody pulling their hair out again, like me, the latest hal version of madwifi, necessary for, say, the ar5007, can be found here: http://snapshots.madwifi-project.org/madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6/
