Hi,

I just installed Ubuntu 8.10 into my Dell D630 (Bye bye Vista!). I'm very pleased although some glitch do exist, need to resolve it one by one anyway.

Here is the first one, the internal 56K modem.u.

So far, I had searched almost every where but couldn't see anything on how to deal with it.

I do believe that mine is "Conexant" chipset.

Anyone has any idea how to activate this?

Oh yes, on more thing, by using the hwinfo, it didn't list it out at all!

Thank you.
Regards.

hi ShagzModo,

Looks like you're able to detect your internal modem. Mine can't even locate the chipsets...

What files are you been using to detect it?
