Installed Ubuntu 8.10 the other day, and decided that i probabliy should resume seeding on my torrents today. I began installing Azureus(now called Vuze), and everytinh seemed to work fine. Seeding, downloading...lightning fast, but i really couldn't live with the "fancy" UI they've given it.

So i installed Ktorrent. Now all my torrents were reported as stalled.
Same type of errors occured with several other clients such as r-torrent, transmission, deluge and so on. This leaves me with Azureuz as the only one working.

Can anyone help?
I've done restarts, updates, tried like 20 different torrents and so on...

How do you connect to the internet?
Check to see what ports Ktorrent and other torrent apps are using and make sure those are the ports forwarded.
In Ktorrent 3.0.1 you can turn on or enable Upnp which will tell your router that you need those ports forwarded, that is if your router supports Upnp.
Some ISP's modems have built in routers. You might have to check their for port forwarding as well.
