In 8.04, my system would do the update check in roughly one second, and the files were typically quite small; however, in 8.10, the update check takes much longer (e.g. 10 seconds?). Some of the 42 files seem to be several megabytes in size.
I imagine some of this is simply due to the update servers getting hammered, but the amount of information being downloaded seems strange.
Is this normal in 8.10, or is my installation misconfigured/corrupted in some way?
This is a clean install of 8.10 x86_64. Thanks!
