Hi,

There is software available for the iPod Touch which allows users to control playback of music on their iMac computer and I understand that when used with Airport Express hardware, can be used to stream audio to multiple rooms in a house.

Is anybody working on anything similar for Ubuntu? Something with a nice interface?

Ideally, the multi-room feature could be used, but I don't know if that's possible in conjunction with Airport Express.

Cheers!

Nothing like this in progress?

Not even just as a remote for media functions on a MythTV set-up?

Okay, so I found a decent-looking application called MyMote - see www.ehomeupgrade.com/2008/07/23/mymote-iphone-app-for-mythtv-control-released/.

However, it looks like it only works with the TV functions.

New features are not being added, so is anybody interested in adding music and photo browsing?
The author seems willing to add code from others...

Maybe this won't allow multi-room audio, but even just as a living room remote, it would be a great add-on for Mythbuntu.
