So... are the forums messing up for anyone else? All the pictures in the background are gone and the text looks really bad........

It's just you. The forums are a bit slow for me, as is to be expected after a new Ubuntu release, but that's it.

Not just you. It's like the CSS just disappeared and all that' left is plain text.

The forums proxy server is having issues, we are trying to find someone to fix it.

It didn't seem to:

Most users ever online was 24,125, April 25th, 2008 at 02:52 PM.

I can see again! But now the page loads aren't as quick :-( Good ol' View > Page Style > No Style for the win :-)

Apparently, the CSS is being served inline, which increases the load (and sub-optimal, not all images make it)

The style sheets are working because I am serving them from the database rather then flat files until the proxy server is fixed. :( The downside to that is slower performance..

Despite the style sheets being served straight from db, my connection way more than compensates for any noticeable slow-down. No worries here.

Looks like they've fixed it. :D

Thought it was just Opera at first (only just installed), but replicated in FF, and then found this thread.

Wel done fixing it!

Other than the forums working really slow, I can not use the Search function. After a long period of waiting, I eventually get a blank page. It has not worked since the Intrepid release.

Edit: Crazy, just worked for me. Took 27.5 seconds to display results for 'boot'.

Edit 2: It only works when searching specific forums (example Feedback Forums). When I search all forums, it fails to the blank page. Seeing that there are 15,590 guests online right now...makes sense that the forums are bogged down.

:o I didn't know pumpkins liked coffee beans. :-k

I must be sure to guard them better so this doesn't happen again. :)

Seems fixed now, but I'm guessing it was Post Count Display on http://ubuntuforums.org/profile.php?do=editoptions.

Or just the database messing up again. Yeah, it was probably that.
