I was exampling a bookmark for the mono project and they have another code block called moonlight which allows webmasters to run it on Linux hosts.

The $64 question: is it safe with Ubuntu Server 8.10 LAMP?

Moonlight is a browser plugin for running Silverlight webapps in Linux. It's client-side, like the flash plugin.

Can it work with a Linux client using Firefox?

Looks alright to me. Then I guess I can indulge in some Silverlight. I know version 1 will work as it is JavaScript based but was not so sure about version 2 yet.

Silverlight 2 was only released a few days ago, and the Moonlight team have been working hard on completing 1.0 support first & foremost - there are preview plugins for firefox on go-mono.com/moonlight

I was planning on using Silverlight 1 only as it is more widely used. I am in no rush at all, as I am still learning about it's abilities as compared to flash.
