Is this supposed to be a joke of some kind?

Um...
No. It is deadly serious. Henry is always deadly serious, because as the last bastion of goodness in this sad sad world he must stand against the tides of darkness like a great big candle. Kneel before the great superhero Henry and offer up your gratitude.

Yes it's a joke.

Thanks Kleeman. Is Ubuntisti the correct term, sorry. And I've been using Ubuntites. Damn that's embarassing. :)
Part two is almost finished, and you'll be pleased to know that even Henry was able to successfully install Ubuntu this time.

Linbetwin: You look tired, man. Maybe you'd better get some sleep. PS Like the sig. Please excuse me while I steal it.

It's 00:45 in my part of the world and yes, I am tired. Did you suspect otherwise? BTW, the guy that I stole the sig from said it was patented, so you can't use it.

Damn those signature patents.
Well I rather suspected you found my writing boring. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I find myself nodding off at times while reading it. But consider that I have to put up with my supreme lack of talent every single day and you will see that you don't have it so bad. :)

lmfao... nice job, nebyah! Hopefully you'll recover the mysterious espionage information off that disc one day...

Thanks. But please don't confuse me with Henry. Henry is a moron, and not real.

My name is Ben, and I am slightly less moronic, and slightly more real.

oooh, getting picky now, are we? Just because you're a different person than someone else who doesn't exist... nitpicker. :)

Best of luck to Henry the Adequate getting that espionage info from that darned Ubuntu disc, then...

Yes, I am a picker of nits.

PS the problem with these forums is they make me want to drink coffee. I think it is all those steaming delicious looking coffee cups. The problem with me drinking coffee is it gives me headaches. The problem with me getting headaches is I behave even worse.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words.

I don't need these forums to love coffee; they just make it taste so mucher nicer and more Ubuntu-y!

Xubuntu - Ubuntu Wiki (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Xubuntu): "The aim of the Xubuntu community project is to provide a nice Ubuntu desktop experience (even on older hardware) by using Xfce4 as the desktop environment and GTK 2 applications wherever possible."

I'd just kind of assumed it was Ubuntu for the XBox or something. Yes I am a bit thick.
Hahahahahahaha!

Best reading Ive done in a while. Ya I don't read much.

It comes in three flavors: Ubuntu-flavored, Kubuntu-flavored, and some mad genetic engineers recently integrated the XFCE4 gene into the Ubuntu bean and made the Xubuntu bean. Available at your local computer/grocery store. :)

Actually that one was supposed to be a serious post. :)
PS XFCE is my favourite lightweight desktop.

mine too. However, I don't really like it compared to a "normal" desktop like GNOME.

Agreed. On decent hardware I'll use KDE or GNOME.
