View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] Intrepid on iBook G3: looks pretty, does nothing

I just finished upgrading to Intrepid on my iBook (using the alternative CD, since over the net I kept getting an error message). Now Intrepid boots up, the desktop appears, complete with menus which look OK - but don't work. If I choose an application in a menu, I get a rotating "wait" cursor for a while, then nothing happens

I've tried choosing an app in the menu, pressing alt+F2 or double-clicking on a document, but I can't find a way to run any apps. I can't find a way to open a terminal.

Can anybody help me resolve this problem?

Thanks: That looks like the same problem. Nobody has found a solution as yet, but I'll keep an eye on that thread.

Edit Jumpin Jack Flash posted a fix (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=6088916&postcount=17) to this problem in the thread mentioned above.
