Just upgraded today. (It's amazing how much faster I was able to download 8.10 the day after it was released.)
Unimpressed by the new status/shutdown whatever applet (without a way to bring up my IM app, this is pointless). Disappointed not to see OOo 3 (REALLY disappointed).
But holy cow does my ThinkPad wake up fast! Seriously, this approaches MacBook speeds. Mission: accomplished.
