Wine and Steam?

Everytime I try to install steam and Wine I get some problem or another, I am getting very mad at this. Somebody please translate the tutorials for me, I am having a hard time comprehending them, they will just say stuff like I know how to do it but I dont.

It helps if you're more specific about the problem you're having, but I'll try to answer generally:

1. Installing steam for the most part is simple, get wine from synaptic (I'm guessing you did this already).

2. Follow the instructions in this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=90319) to get the mozActivex thingy working.

3. Download the steam client from www.steampowered.org.

4. Double click the file to install.

5. ...

6. Profit.
