Hello,

I'm almost certain it's not a scanner issue, as it is more due to the application. I just bought an HP C7180. I installed the latest hplip which completed successfully. Printed a test page just fine over the network. Tried to run a scan over the network and the first one scanned perfectly. When I went to save it, Xsane said it could not save in that format. I'm not even sure what format it is set to by default. Nonetheless, there were about 5 different windows that initially opened up when I first tried to scan. One for preview, another to actually execute the scan, another that had something to do with colors.. and I can't remember the other ones.. So since it could not save, I figured I would just close the windows and run another scan. This time, only the window to execute the scan came up.. when I click scan, it seems like it's doing it, but the page is blank. Also, I noticed the first time I scanned successfully it showed some RGB values being loaded.. after the 1st attempt, I no longer see that happening. I tried reinstalling Xsane, but that didn't help. I haven't tried reinstalling hplip, but I'm afraid to do so since it seems the printer is working properly over the network. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
