guys I've read several post on the topic, but no definitive way to do this, I'm looking for a guide or some guidance on how to make this work, so far I've tried the controller with Torcs and Nexuiz, but none of the buttons are working how could I find out and program the controller...

thanks in advance...

I have 3 Logitech Dual Action Controllers, they all use standard USB HID drivers so it should just plug in and work. Shouldn't need to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf or anything. Used them with ZSNES, Mupen64plus, pSX, ePSXe, etc without any problems, just make sure you start the program AFTER you plug in the controller.

Maybe the games you are trying to play with aren't compatible with gamepads?

so far I've tried it with Nexuiz and Torcs and it is not working...is there any program that lets you test it and adjust... just to make sure is not the gamepad

Just look for "joystick" with synaptic, there are a couple calibration/test programs.

after installing joystick, I can see that it works just fine, I guess games like Nexuiz, and Torcs are not configured to run with joystick, I could be wrong...I've installed pSX, but I don't know what kind of games is it suppose to run... could anyone give me a heads up

thanks

pSX is a Playstation Emulator, you would need playstation games and a BIOS in order to play it.

BTW, jscalibrator has been known to make joysticks unusable in games even though it reports the joystick as working fine. Wouldn't advise installing it if you haven't already.

I installed one that is called exactly that "joystick calibrator"...
