Hi, I have a pc set up with mythbuntu 8.04. I'm using a Hauppauge PVR-350, and I'm able to see live TV, schedule recordings, etc. However, I am unable to connect it to a television, be it by composite or SVideo. Any suggestions? I've connected both then tried all the options I can think of (All channels available, DVD, VCR, AUX1, AUX2, etc.) Also, watching TV live on my PC the quality seems really low. is that just a side effect of it being home built?

And One last question. I've got it set up, and I'm going to be adding another card (also a Hauppauge PVR-350) so I can record multiple things, etc. What else will I need to configure? Will I simply need to add another tuner card?

I've used the pvr350 cards for some time now, and there really one of the best you can get. My mythBuntu setup worked superb with excelent imaging. It's defenitly something in your setup whats wrong.

To get stuff clear, are you using the pvr350's tv out or a tv out on your videocard? If you are using the pvr350's tv out, you should look at MythTV's wiki for more info about that and consider that not every skin works good with that.

about a second card, you need to configure that one to.

Yes I was trying to use the TV out on my PVR-350. Would it just be easier (and more practical) to use my video card? it has a VGA and HDMI slot, so I can connect one to my TV, and one to my Monitor.

This is what I do, but I don't have a PVR-350 so I don't have choice. What kind of video card do you have?
