Nexuiz Problem

I have Ubuntu 8.04 and Slackware 12.1 on my HP desktop.
The configuration is:
160 GB hard disk
1GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo processor
Nexuiz runs extremely slow on my Slackware partition but runs perfectly fine on my Ubuntu.
Compiz doesn't run on Slackware but it does on Ubuntu.
Is it something with my display ?
Please help me as this is my first post and first time I've got stumped.
I'm new to Linux and started using it since July.
Please explain real slow.
I've got an INTEL 945 graphics card.I think so.

Chances are you just need to install the right video driver in Slackware (check what Ubuntu uses).

Yeah, odds are slack isn't configured properly. (IT's a bita of a PITA from what I know.)
