Make Me An Icon For My Application

I wrote this program called Twut, its a gpl twitter client for Gnome, it works well and I put a fair amount of effort into it, I am only a novice coder so it took awhile. Anyway I am not a graphical person, I tried to make an icon but it sucks anyway... I know they're alot of graphical people here.

So if you want to help me out make a desktop icon for me, something green like twitter, with something T like in it. 64x64px, but also scalable so it looks good in the notification tray.

I doubt many people will do this but none the less, either send me a pm, post it here or email me at abeisgreat@abeisgreat.com

P.s. if you give make me a nice icon I will no doubt give you credit in the program and on my site. Even if I don't end up picking your icon I'll still give you a shout out on my site :D

I like the original best, the light green and white is alot like the twitter logo so it looks best so far I think

Aw, I was late. Xoger partially stole my idea. :p

I like mine the best though, since its simpler and made in SVG (so it can be resized and not lose as much quality). It also looks good in small sizes. :)

About the name...it doesn't sound elegant (at least the way I'm pronouncing it) and it's probably a bit too close to a certain four letter "bad" word. Maybe you should consider changing it. Seeing the name made me laugh because I happen to be reading a book, Expletive Deleted: A Good Look at Bad Language, that's all about swearing and its place in our culture.

Also, I like eightmillion's icons the best so far...not that I'm much of a judge.

I'm not sure if this just bad timing. The icons I just attached have transparent backgrounds, but here's a tarball of all the sizes just in case.

yea I noticed they do in my previous post i put up a screenshot showing how the icon looks a bit cramped

Edit: In that image it looks fine, maybe its just my laptop, but if you could add a couple px padding around the edges i think it would match the others better

How about Tweat? As in... Tweet + Treat (a good and functional program is always a great treat). I also find it has a cute sonority. What do you think?

If I do end up releasing some OS specific ones Ill pry use a couple of peoples icons to tell em apart. But I will probably only release a general one.

I think Ill let this thread go for anoother day or so then Ill stop taking suggestions for names and icons. I'll make sure to post about my program whenever I end up releasing.

EDIT: The names decided, Im going with Tweat, mainly cause I love WIAN's header thing. Now just to decide on a logo :P

EDIT: I'm thinking either Eightmillions or What's in a name?'s icons, I like Eightmillions alot, it looks good in the notification area and as a desktop icon, but WIAN's icon and header are really nice, but i don't know a bit to minty. I like just abut everyone's, I might have a change of heart at the last minute, who knows :P what do you guys think, icon wise?

I'd personally reccomend these to give a presence to your idea but all are great submissions.

Yours are by far the more professional looking, I am a sucker for a cool icon on a program and I would use this one for sure! If it is not used here then someone should really pick it up and use it for another.
