Hey guys, I poked around for a while trying to find someone with the same issue, but I wasn't able to find it. A while back the network manager icon by the date/time on my desktop (clearly I'm new to linux) stopped showing my wireless network as an option, and I couldn't connect that way to wireless networks. I just figured out how to connect using a refresh through the terminal, but I'd like to solve the issue.

Does anyone know how I may have disabled the wireless from the network manager? I ran the sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart command and thats how the wireless connected. In fact I'm using it to write this post, but in network tools, if I click configuration for wlan0 it says 'the interface does not exist.'

Help!

ps i'm using 8.04
