A nice interview with a blizz rep here. He states that if anyone wants to leave feedback about linux and possibly making Blizzard games run natively on linux, then to leave a response with your thoughts in it as they will be checking back on this topic for feedback.

Haha, this is the best news ever. King Blizzard is turning its eye to Linux. If WoW comes, thats some serious credibility for Linux. Even better, it will mean a lot of other companies will follow.

EDIT: Reading helps. Blizzard is interested in open sourcing its older games, not porting anything. Still cool news.

I believe somewhere in that interview he said that making future projects for linux is a possibility. He kept re-iterating however that the chances of releasing the already existing Linux client of WoW to the public are low because of the fact that it could cause a lot of issues that they don't feel like dealing with (mainly bug fixes for that version).

But they said that making future projects isn't totally impossible, so if they know there are enough of us out there that want this, we just might get it.

Not very well for some of us mined you. I got 2x better fps on windows with WoW then in wine. Native versions would be a plus. -.-
