I think this is the right forum for this.

I've been searching and searching, and can't figure out how to fix a problem with my external monitor being slightly off center. I have a Inspirion e1505 laptop with 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) connected to a secondary monitor via SVGA cable. Everything works fine, but the external monitor is slightly off center (if a screen is maximized on the external monitor, you're not able to see the minimize and close buttons on the window for example. There's a black vertical bar on the left side of the secondary monitor).

Any help on what I can do here?

The notebook's resolution is 1280 x 800
Montior resoltuion is 1360 x 768

Which is what I want and correct for these two, it's just that the external monitor is off center.

there should be some buttons on the side of your moniter.
press some until you see an icon that looks like a box with two arrows pointing either way.press the up and down buttons on your moniter until it is center.simple.:)
