I have a Mythbox and the only thing I use to control it is a Firefly remote control. There's no mouse or keyboard attached.
The way I have it set up I can exit MythTV hit a button on the remote and it starts VLC pointing to a directory I store new videos in before I move the ones I want to keep into MythVideo.
The problem is that if I haven't used the TV in a few hours irexec stops responding to commands. It seems to be receiving them because if I restart the box irexec starts executing all the commands I send before the reboot. Does anyone know a way to fix that?
