I just got Xubuntu 6.06 on a iBook Clamshell M6411
Two questions
1) After a few times clicking the apps menu in the top left, it doesnt open any more. If I reinstall Xubuntu, it works then stops again. Is there any reason for it?

2) Trying to get the ethernet port working. Cant find the drivers for it. Any help appreciated

lshw -C network

Does
sudo ifup eth0

help?

I know that during a rushed install, I inadvertently let the system think that the firewire port was to be used for "ethernet-over-firewire" and that caused problems. Not sure if you've done that here - hopefully bringing the interface up manually might help.

I think I found this by accident once by being able to bring up the interface on eth1 instead, but it seems like you've got it right.

I'm thinking the fact it says "DISABLED" may be the problem? Is there a way to enable this?
