I'm working on transitioning from OS X to Ubuntu on my Macbook, and there is some windows software I need that I had running in virtualbox.

I figured i'd just copy the .vdi from one partition to another, however, it seems like things aren't so simple.

I have a windows 2k3 install on the .vdi, and when I start it up it gets to the loading screen and just hangs there for hours and hours.

Any ideas? (I'm running the latest virtualbox OSE on ibex)
