(8.10 RC) Hauppage WinTV Nova-TD: IR receiver not recognized

Hello,

I'm playing around with Mythbuntu 8.10 RC on my old notebook. I'm planning to set up an Asus EEE Box with Mythbuntu as soon as they are sold here in Europe.

I have got a Hauppage WinTV Nova-TD USB-Stick that is working pretty well. Unfortunatley, the remote is not working because the IR receiver is not recognized. According to this Wiki

the IR receiver should show up in dmesg or 'cat /proc/bus/input/devices', but it is not recognized there.

I tried both the 1.10 and the 1.20 firmware, but that made no difference.

Any ideas?

P.S.: The hardware is OK. The remote is working in WIndows XP.

Additional information:

Acoording to the Wiki at linuxtv.org (http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-NOVA-TD-Stick) the USB ID should be 2040:9580. The USB ID of my Nova TD stick is different: 2040:5200.

Further information on the box:
WinTV-Nova-TD
model 1172
SL-1172-V2.1-GER

I guess that I have a different revision/version of Nova TD stick.
