anyone has americas army working on ubuntu? I tried installing it, and succeeded but it hangs after i select deploy for training. and now it doesnt even start up.

It works for me. Worked under Hoary, works under Breezy. I've had some minor problems (so minor I can't even remember what they were). I can't help you with your problem, though.

Try running it from the terminal and post any error messages.

What version are you using?
Do you have all the ports required for on-line play open?

Americas army works great as does unreal 2004 nvidia fx5200 256mb card quake 4 has sound issues I have read the forums but have not got it fixed yet.

ok well first my system is a dell inspiron 5100, graphics ati radeon 7500, 2.7ghz p4 with optimized kernel.at first the error was x server crashing, but now it says its missing a file, i removed the directory and reinstalled and same file missing. why me?

try making yourself sudo just to see if it thinks the missing file is a file that is just protected
