I like the clouds, but I'm not sure it needs the line of people. Hmmm... Maybe you could try having the Ubuntu logo rising up from behind like a sun. You'd probably want to change the logo green, too, but you could try it normal colors. Maybe with a glow from behind it. :)

I like that too, it could look pretty good rising from behind.
Also, you could try something fancier with the smoke from the chimney. Perhaps thinner and wispier, like from a cigarette, going to the top of the screen. But that's just an opinion, it looks good already =D

New update!
I've made three more variants of this image.

loell: I've darken the colours a bit in one of them. It's still the same green. Maybe could try in a other colour.

A sun is there now. With and Without ubuntu logo :)

oedipuss: I'll take a look at the smoke. See what I can do.

I don't think the clouds should have shadows.

Beyond that, I'd say it is a pretty nice wallpaper.

Linux Mint comes to mind when I see it.
