[SOLVED] Deskbar applet and OpenOffice 3.0

Hi

I have been using the deskbar applet for searches etc in Hardy, which worked fine, right up until I installed OO.o 3.0 from the debs on the website. Yes, I know, not supported by Ubuntu etc...

So now, the applet finds an office file, but when I click on it, the applet closes, without being able to open the document with OO.0 v2.

Is there a way to change the file associations with Deskbar Applet to enable it to work with OO.o 3.0?

Solved.

Had to delete the openoffice files in ~/.local/share/applications .

No idea why that worked, but it did.
