I should preface this by saying that for this to work you have to be running Firefox 1.5 beta 1 or higher (including 1.6a1).
Somebody has written an extension that will allow for changing the update channel that firefox uses. There is a link on the site that explains the channels if someone wants to read about it. I'm now running the latest nightly, as usual use at your own risk.
