Hi, I recently got a ShuttleX system and I'm interested in setting up MythTV on it and I need some recommendation for a tuner card to get.

I installed Ubuntu, then Mythbuntu, so all the software is there a believe.

The box has an AGP slot and a PCI slot. I'm assuming they don't make any decent AGP tuners so I guess I'll just have an unused AGP slot sitting around in there.

I really would like some solid recommendations, because there's so much out there, I don't know what to look for.

I don't know what other information to provide, so if someone wants some specific details about my setup, I'll gladly post it if it'll help come up with some information. Thanks!

Hello there. As you can see I'm new to this place but I'll try to help. First you should tell us if you need analog or digital tuners. Once you know what you want, you should take a look here first:

I wanted to get a Hauppauge PVR but according to the first link, the PVR family is not produced anymore.
I hope this helps.

I have digital cable with Comcast so I'm guessing I would go for digital.

The problem I was having is that many of these cards recommended on different sites aren't even produced anymore. I was looking at this thing called HDHomeRun, but I'd like to know others' experiences with it before I tried to drop that kind of money.
