I used the instructions at http://www.mat3impex.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_use_a_Image_Class_Printer_a s_a_Post_Script_Printer_in_Windows_%26_Share_from_ MAT3UBengali_Linux

but I still can't get it to print. A print job goes to the printer but under the Pages column it says NA. Would it help to use a different substitute printer instead of the Applewriter 16/1600?
I really need to get this working.

Thanks in advance.

The only thing I can suggest is to try this here:

It's another howto with out the pictures.

Thanks, I had already looked at that one too and it's way more complicated than what I feel comfortable with. All this just to get a printer to work!

How hard is it to write a driver? What language would it be in? I can program some but I've never written anything like a driver.

Is there another driver I can use to substitute for the correct one but that will work. I did that way back when I had Word Perfect 6.0 for DOS and needed a driver for my HP680C. It wasn't perfect, but it got me by. I don't care about the scanner for the Linux box.

I just need a simple solution outside of buying a new printer or getting real complex installs on 2 machines.
