I have to change a value here. What do I enter in terminal?
Guys i found a simple solution
go to the command line and start up alsamixer
go to the PCM volume change it from 6xx to 100
sound will be ok and no more distortion
Thanks!

Ok, now we got the PCM value to 100, but the bar graph is still in distortion level...

Another way you can try to change it it look in your synaptic package manager and search for gnome alsa mixer and the go under applications under sound and video and it should be there now try to change it there.
