Networking not working

The live mythbuntu all networking works great, wired and wireless. I install to the harddrive reboot and nothing works, wired or wireless.

I am installing on an old laptop a Averatec 3200. Only need it for a frontend only. Not sure why it would work on the live cd and then completely not work on install to the harddrive. Any ideas?

There seems to be an issue with the live CD install of mythbuntu. I have gone back and installed plain 8.04, and the networking worked right out of the "box." Now have synaptic running doing updates, installing xfce, and mythtv frontend. Should have the whole thing up in running shortly.

I have no clue why the Mythbuntu live cd worked fine with networking and the install was a total failure. Also no idea why the generic Hardy install works and the mythbuntu install did not work.
