So i decided to install ubuntu a few months ago. in the process i did a little damage to my windows vista. i cant play windows media player (not a big deal) and i cant use itunes (it was completely damaged, i removed it and reinstalled it and it still doesnt work. so now as a last resort i guess i need to somehow try and use itunes on ubuntu. this is a big problem because i basically cant change any songs on my ipod (rrrggghhh!). if it helps im using 7.10. if anyone knows any good, preferably easy ways (im not a super computer genius lol) to run itunes on ubuntu so that i can also sync it with my ipod i would be very grateful.

First of if you've partitioned your hard drive correctly ubuntu should not affect vista at all. Odd. You could try wiping your windows partition and reinstalling vista to get a fresh install.
As for your ipod in ubuntu you could try either Songbird (mozillas music player) or something like gtkpod (linux ipod manager). Songbird will let you manage your ipod but you cant get songs off of your ipod. With gtkpod its not as good a music player but you can take music off.

actually that was the problem. instead of creating a small partition for ubuntu i created a large one for ubuntu and a small one for vista (yea, i had to learn the hard way). but thanks i will try both of those programs
