Game Link Emulation with Mednafen?

I wanted to trade Pokemon between two versions of the game (Gold and Silver) using mednafen, of which both games are GameBoy Color games. Is this possible? If it is, how?

I don't fully understand how to use mednafen yet, even though I choose to use it because it uses hardware acceleration and I was able to get the games going with ease.

Unfortunately Mednafen doesn't support GB/GBC linking. There's a multiplayer server for mednafen for systems that have 2 controllers (each player plays one controller) but won't link GB/GBC like real ones do.

Never heard of it before. I'll give it a try then (kinda stinks for me though, since I got tons of stuff done in the game already. Maybe if I'm lucky the save files will transfer over. :-k ).
