Hello,

I'm installing unbuntu 5.10 on a 64 bit machine with a pentium-pro
the 64 bit dvd only have the kernel for amd 64 and the xeon processor
Can I us this kernel for the pentium IV 3,2G smp processor or do I need a different kernel?

Thanks Arno Kruit

The Pentium Pro is not a 64-bit processor. In fact, it's not even a Pentium II. We're talking about a processor from ten years ago. (Are you sure this is what you have?) It would need the x86 distro.
