Excelixis is a remaster of Xubuntu for software/web developers created with Remastersys! It is created by Cyberpython a developer based in Greece, ('Excelixis' means evolution in Greek).
I have taken the liberty of starting this thread so that users of Excelixis can ask questions or share tips etc concerning this Xubuntu variant, until it has a forum or user group of its own.
It is not yet very well known but should be hitting the pages of distrowatch soon. I think there will be a great deal of interest in this remaster as it is the first variant of Ubuntu/Xubuntu to be aimed at developers. It has all of the standard desktop glitz and solid hardware support offered by Ubuntu, but has all of the main development tools pre-installed and configured.

I have been looking for a distro like this for a long time, and I hope it continues to develop and evolve. I have a attached a screenshot, with a slightly pimped desktop to give you a flavour of Excelixis.
