Recently I installed a HUGE batch up updates to my Intrepid installation (not the 100 from tonight, but the one from four or five days ago, which was something like 280+ for my install).
Before it happened I could watch DVD video just fine with all the "necessary" patches installed. :-)
However, after doing the update I can still get the audio just fine, but the video is all twisted up. First, I thought it was because I had isntalled the ATI proprietary driver, but even after installing it, it doesn't work. WMA video files that I've saved to my desktop play just fine.
If I play the movie through VLC I once again get sound. However, I get a full black screen for video. What's interesting is that using Totem (GStreamer version) actually gets me normal-looking video, but its really really choppy. Sound is fine.
Anyone see anything like what my screenshot looks like? If so, any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks!!
Robert
