Hello,
I'm having trouble getting my graphics card drivers to stick! I install the latest set using EnvyNG (ATI 8.6 Catalyst) but as soon as I load steam or HL2, the screen goes blank and dies. When I restart and do a fglrxinfo, I get this:
rich@Obsidian:~$ fglrxinfo
display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.4 (2.1 Mesa 7.0.3-rc2)
I don't want these drivers!!! Why does it change to these after trying to run that application? Is there any way I can change them to the ones I want (the ATI EnvyNG) with out having to download, install and restart all over again!?
Any help or insight to this would be greatly appreciated.
