Hi
I've installed ubuntu on my new system sound works but Ethernet doesn't work i've downloaded and installed the drivers with the nvidia installer and still no networking tho when i go to System->Administration->Network i see eth0(after i installed the drivers) i click properties and it says Check this if this card is configured so i select it and choose DHCP and i click Activate it takes a while and then it says Card is activated after about 2 minutes( this also slows my boot on boot it says Configuring network interface for like 2 minutes and it fails ) this didn't happen on my old computer on my old computer it would activate in secends

am i missing something? i didn't edit any config file after the nvidia drivers install was finished and on ubuntu install i choose Configure networking later

Heres a few pictures of what i do when nvidia drivers finish installing:

That should work out of the box. It does on mine, although mine is it's slightly older cousin , MSI K8N Neo Platinum Nforce3 250MB cache w/GBLan. As it's all nvidia it should have just worked on install as long as you had a DHCP connection on the eth0 port.

Seems like nforce4 recognized, from the begining without drivers

Just curious but what nvidia driver version did you use? I tried to get the 310 ones off nvidia.com but they are down or something. I think since I don't have any chipset drivers and such that could be why I have some of the problems I'm having.
