Hello there. Linux total newbie here. :)
I've been trying for the past hours to get Virtua Tennis 3 working but I'm not having any luck. Let me go through the steps I followed. At the very beginning, I installed Wine 1.0. Then I popped the cd in the tray and followed the instructions at WineHQ as to how to install an application. Since AppDB's record says that the game has a problem with shadows, I first opened the config.exe and disabled shadows. That config.exe seemed like it worked so I went forward to try and run the actual game. :P Well, when I select to run VT3.exe with Wine, the screen goes black (as in "starting and loading the game") and then goes "back to Desktop". I tried doing the same thing with the terminal, but I got the same results.
I even thought of applying a no-cd patch just to see if there was any problem with the copy-protection or something. Nothing changed.
Well... Any help appreciated. :)
Ubuntu Hardy Heron, Wine 1.0, Virtua Tennis 3.
