Howdy guys. Was just looking for opinions.
Trying to move a few of my servers to VMWare, for the obvious reasons (disaster recovery, portability).
Pretty much all of them are Windows 2003.
I was going to move the file servers to Samba (heard file servers aren't good to virtualize).
On this same server, have some VMs running (maybe 4-5).
So we have one box doing file sharing through samba, and running VMWare. Is this overkill?
Should I have VMWare running locally on this server, or running the VMs across NFS to other server be a good idea?
