Hey, I wanted to try the new KDE, but when trying to install it through add/remove programs I only get an "KDE4 cannot be installed on your computer type (i386). Either the application requires special hardware features or the vendor decided to not support your computer type." - error message. What's going on? Can't I run Kde4 under the normal i386 kernel, or?
Help appreciated!

Go to synaptic and install package kubuntu-desktop. I don't know why there is that error message.

Oh, I'm silly... seems to be working :) Of course I should have remembered the desktop metapackage. It was some guide that talked about installing the "kde4" package, and then the wierd error message confused me a bit. Thanks!
